Job Summary

Assists in all areas of the shop to include cleaning and organizing parts and materials; performs physical operations to remove parts from main sheet of metal on a repetitive basis; performs a variety of tasks to assist in machine shop activities such as operating metal fabricating/finishing equipment to cut, bend, form and/or finish metal parts as specified by customer requirements; fits and/or assembles, adjusts and repairs sub-assemblies and major assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Records job activities, including counts, utilizing labor reporting system.
• Accurately completes daily labor card and submits at conclusion of shift
• Communicates with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
• Performs all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards.
• Maintains accurate count of parts; attaches labels or tags to processed material identifying customer, part number, quantity and shop order information.

Non-essential Duties:
• Identifies material to be processed based on laser outputs.
• Inspects parts to maintain quality requirements.
• Follows all safety procedures and wears safety equipment or apparel as required.
• Cleans area around workstation on a daily basis.
• (May) Drive a fork lift truck to transport material for storage or delivery to another department

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Able to position and manipulate parts with the hands demonstrating manual dexterity

Experience and Education:

Buyer 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday
Job Summary

Responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the Company’s needs for indirect materials and services, and select production materials and services. Products and services are secured at cost effective quality, and delivery levels consistent with Company policy and performance standards. The position is further responsible for the timely scheduling of receipt and inventory control of the products and services as assigned consistent with production requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Purchase the highest quality goods and services at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts as needed for production.
• Manage inventory levels, delivery, schedules of required items to be purchased, to meet production schedules.
• Insures that the company is paying “Fair Market” prices though the competitive bidding process.
• Resolve disputes with suppliers related to quality, service and costs.
• Proactively monitors purchasing system for on-time receiving.

Non-essential Duties:
• Maintain an adequate number of competitive suppliers necessary to support the company requirements.
• Monitors quality and delivery performance of suppliers constantly seeking improvement and replaces suppliers who do not meet expectations.
• Interviews suppliers soliciting information on new technologies, materials, services that may improve our competitiveness in the market place.
• Develop, measure, report and administers programs to reduce lead times, improve quality and reduce costs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Welder Levels 1-3 Second shift 2:30 PM – 1 AM Monday – Thursday.
Job Summary

Works from a job traveler to fabricate and weld components to produce quality compliant products, while meeting departmental performance standards, customer specifications and delivery requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Using MIG and/or TIG, weld components together according to blueprints and job traveler
• Check and verify part numbers prior to assembly of product to customer specifications
• Accurately measure and lay out locations for welded components
• Adjust weld as needed to accommodate varying thicknesses of steel

Non-essential Duties:
• Operate grinder, drill, band saw, torch and crane as assigned
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc. including accurately completing daily labor card and submitting at conclusion of shift
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
• Assist in training new employees in safe and efficient use of fabricating and welding methods
• Notify supervisor of part shortages before the part runs out

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Reads and accurately interprets blueprints at an advanced level
• Able to learn operations of multiple jigs/fixtures within a job area and must be able to regularly rotate jobs to meet schedules
• Skill level includes MIG, TIG and pipe welding capabilities as outlined in attached level breakdown
• Must work at a reasonable pace (measured by production efficiency) and within quality standards to insure timely completion
• Able to follow directions and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

Experience and Education:
• High School Diploma
• 2-4 years previous welding experience with non-structural components
• Must successfully complete in-house welding test

Grinding Operator First shift 6 AM – 2:30 PM Monday – Friday.
Job Summary

Set up, operate, or tend grinding and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges or corners, or buff, hone, or polish metal pieces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate all tools for grinding, deburring, sanding and polishing while being proficient in grinding sheet metal.
• Examines and feels surface of work piece for defects.
• Moves grinder over surface of work piece to remove scratches and imperfections
• Polishes ground areas with finer abrasive to produce smooth, unmarred surface

Non-essential Duties:
• Replaces worn abrasive disks, wheels, and belts
• Selects grade of abrasive belt, wheel, or disk according to specifications
• Assists in other production areas as needed
• Accurately completes daily labor card and submits at conclusion of shift
• Follows all safety procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Possesses basic technical knowledge of grinding tools and their safe operation
• Able to follow directions precisely and perform repetitive tasks

Experience and Education:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 – 2 years manufacturing experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Design Drafter/CAD Programmer8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Mon- Friday.
Job Summary

Prepare detailed working diagrams for the manufacturing of internal or external products, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. Will also assist in estimating and customer quoting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform product development work as assigned by engineering manager.
• Directly communicate with customers in the form of quotations, meetings and presentations to understand and define their needs.
• Understand and respond to customer requests, both verbal and written.
• Create prints to meet all customer requirements.
• Use computer assisted design/drafting equipment and MRP software.
• Assists shop floor, manufacturing, quality, and planning as required.
• Handle all changes and problems related to product assigned.

Non-essential Duties:
• Manage several projects at one time if needed.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment; maintains compliance with all established company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviews professional publications; establishes personal networks; benchmarks state-of-the-art practices; may participate in professional societies

• Knowledge of fabricated sheet metal manufacturing
• Experience with SolidWorks, Auto-Cad or other 3-D Software
• Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data; designs work flows and procedures.
• Translates concepts and information into images; uses feedback to modify designs; applies design principles; demonstrates attention to detail.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; monitors own work to ensure quality.

Experience and Education:
• Associates degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or related degree; required
• Must have 2-4 years in a manufacturing setting with heavy design drafting experience.

DriverFirst Shift 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Mon- Friday.
Job Summary

Transports and delivers finished products to customers by applying knowledge of driving regulations and roads in the area driving to and from designated locations; performs daily inspection of truck.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate company-owned trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials.
• Perform required before-, during- and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
• Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.
• Follows all safety procedures
• Loads product into truck
• Unloads truck at customer site if required

Non-essential Duties:
• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations
• Communicates with supervisor and other shipping department personnel
• Packages/wraps and bands skids to load on truck

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Reads and writes English
• Possesses mental ability to read maps, road signs
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of safe vehicle operation
• Exhibits sound judgment in determining safest route for delivery
• Able to follow directions precisely

Experience and Education:
• Must possess clean, valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 – 2 years delivery driving experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
